Webinar Title: Online Occupational Therapy: Really?
Date: Tuesday, February 5th
Time: 1-2 pm ET (10-11 am PT)
Cost: No Charge
Abstract: Special education leaders recognize the growing need for OT (Occupational Therapy) for K-12 students and the need to improve the use of technology to enhance the delivery of clinical services. Occupational therapy practitioners and school districts are now poised to benefit from the use of emerging technologies to deliver OT services remotely into educational settings. And while the technology to deliver OT services at a distance is available, school administrators have a range of practical questions about how this works and about its effectiveness in helping students overcome a range of physical challenges related to illness, injury or disabilities.
Join your colleagues, a nationwide audience of SPED leaders, for a timely one-hour webinar with University of the Sciences professor and OT visionary Dr. Rondalyn Whitney and education & healthcare executive Michael Berthelette. Dr. Whitney and Mr. Berthelette will introduce the topic and moderate a panel of special education experts, including Melissa Jakubowitz, M.A. CCC-SLP, with over 20 years of clinical and managerial experience; panelists will share their experiences with online OT and answer questions from the audience.
